Transport to Supreme Court Rally - Chippewas of the Thames and Clyde River - from Toronto

On November 30th, on unceded Algonquin territory in Ottawa, Clyde River Inuit and the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation are heading to the Supreme Court to uphold the legal right of Indigenous People to be consulted on energy projects that will impact their communities.

A win at the court could be a watershed for the future of Indigenous rights and environmental justice.

The communities and their supporters are organizing a rally outside the Supreme Court on November 30th. The rally will begin at 8:00 AM in front of the Supreme Court and will continue throughout the day, with speakers and activities. Click here for the rally event page. Buses will leave from Toronto on Tuesday, November 29th in the afternoon at approximately 3 PM.

Buses will leave Ottawa on Wednesday, November 30th at 5:30 PM and be returning to Toronto at approximately 10:30 PM. Pick-up and drop-off locations in Toronto: 33 Cecil Street.

**You are responsible for finding our own accommodation in Ottawa. We are however currently in the process of looking for spaces that would accommodate large numbers of folks such as school gyms or community centres, and will provide this as an option if we find something suitable. **
