Chippewas of the Thames First Nation stand up to Enbridge’s Line 9

Ricochet News released this report in February 2016:

“There’s laws that are even bigger than the Canadian law. It’s called the natural law,” says Myeengun Henry, a member of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation. “Everywhere around the world, Indigenous peoples’ responsibility is to keep that natural law sacred.”

Although the National Energy Board and the federal government have already allowed Enbridge to go ahead with the reversal of the Line 9 pipeline to carry tar sands crude from Alberta, the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation says it is not giving up and has taken its challenge all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada.
